Arriving in the United States as a legal permanent resident, under the protection of political asylum, at the age of two with his family, Jude Ezeilo grew up in several cities across the country.

As a teenager in high school, he was faced with a decision that would change his life when he became an adult. The repercussions of that choice were fully realized years later when the government initiated proceedings for his removal and deportation.

Mr. Ezeilo’s experiences uniquely qualify him to shed light on this untold dimension of the broken immigration system. It is a true American story.
