by Fanto Frunze

The American dream. What is it? Meet Alek, an Armenian immigrant. He and his family have come to America with the same dream that all immigrants have: a better life. Merely a child, he slowly comes to grips with being an outcast in his new world, and turns to his family for strength. But as he grows older, his aloofness and his family can no longer protect him from the violence that seems to follow him everywhere he goes. And as he adapts to these physical and psychological hurdles, he must decide what sort of man he will become.

In a Sun is an insightful, honest, and eye-opening work that dives into the complex issues of what makes an American.
